Robotic welding services are responsible for one of the premiere cars on the road and in the cinema today. In an updating of Knight Rider, a television show from the 1980’s, the 2008 super car is based on the Mustang Shelby GT500KR. robotic welding services molded the new KITT car with the help of 5 & 6 axis 3D laser cutting. A flexible process, 5 & 6 axis 3D laser cutting has molded the different components needed to produce variations of the super car.
One version of the car, Super KITT, used a black Mustang GT as its base. It was adapted with the help of robotic welding services. The 4.6 liter V8 engine was upgraded with a Ford Racing Whipple supercharger fashioned by robotic welding services. It advanced output to 500 horsepower. It was also outfitted with FRC500 Suspension Pack, Ford racing mufflers, and 6 piston Brembo brakes, all metals produced by 5 & 6 axis 3D laser cutting processes. GT500 front and rear bumpers, matte finish rocker panels, and GT500KR fiberglass hood were added and robotic welding services provided the 20” forged aluminum wheels that topped of the Super KITT.
Another version, Attack Mode KITT, also started as a black Mustang GT, with a 4.6 liter V8 motor. Its automatic transmission, produced by robotic welding services, is based on the GT500KR. Using 5 & 6 axis 3D laser cutting, engineers have redesigned this model using custom faux air scoops, two-tiered rear spoiler, and custom headlight head light trim. 5 & 6 axis 3D laser cutting has provided the metal for the robotic welding services to produce the Brembo Brakes, a FRV Suspension Pack, and a Ford Racing muffler with stainless tips to increase performance. Robotic welding services also provides the crowning touch, 20” black forged aluminum racing wheels. What a smooth ride.
Thanks to robotic welding services, Knight Rider has taken the road, as well as the small screen in a big way. When we see this beauty, we should be grateful for robotic welding services.
